With three senior linebackers graduating, the Syracuse Orange could probably use a few reinforcements at the position. They’ve already gotten started on doing just that with the class of 2018.

Three-star linebacker Tre Allison announce his decision to flip from the SMU Mustangs to Syracuse on Sunday. The Tyler, Tex. product was on campus at Syracuse this weekend (along with several other prospects) and made the decision to switch. Obviously SMU coach Chad Morris heading to Arkansas also helped matters a bit.
He told 247Sports’ Mike McAllister that he felt “like (he) was at home” while at SU.
Allison is the third linebacker to commit to Syracuse for 2018, joining JaQuirius Smith and Juan Wallace. As you may have noticed above, he’ll be committing at the start of this year’s early signing period on December 22.
The Orange now have 16 players committed for 2018, with at least a few of them signing on the dotted line later this month. So far, six players are committed on the defensive side of the ball.
