The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team continued to roll on Thursday, as they beat Big Ten foe Northwestern 81-74 at the Carrier Dome. The Orange are now a perfect 7-0 through November and they share a unique similarity with their male counterparts on campus.

The Orange earned their seventh win thanks to a career night from Miranda Drummond and another ho-hum double-double for Tiana Mangakahia. Drummond earned a double-double of her own by cashing in a career-high 29 points — on 12-22 shooting — and gathering 11 rebounds in a team-high 37 minutes.
Mangakahia earned her sixth double-double in seven tries. The NCAA leader in assists’ latest effort resulted in 26 points and 12 more dimes to her season ledger. Drummond and Mangakahia were the only two Orange players who scored in double figures on Thursday. Jasmine Nwajei also contributed eight points off the bench for Syracuse.
The Orange are off to their first 7-0 start since the 2013-2014 season when they started that season 8-0.
