Syracuse vs. Louisville scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU

Everything’s a must-win now. And this one will be on national TV.

NCAA Football: Louisville at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Win or lose this Saturday, the Syracuse Orange’s November 18 date against the Louisville Cardinals will loom large. And now, we find out it’ll be on national television.

Louisville will host Syracuse at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU in a game that will be enormous for both teams. The Cardinals are 5-4 (2-4 in the ACC), while SU is 4-5 overall (2-3 in conference). Louisville has lost three of four, and all three remaining games are tough. They’ll face Virginia this Saturday, then Syracuse and a road game at Kentucky to close out.

Syracuse, obviously, is in a tougher spot. The Orange need two wins over Wake Forest, Louisville and Boston College. Vegas odds see SU as favorites vs. Wake right now, and probably will against BC too.

SU is 6-9 against Louisville all-time, and have lost three straight in the series. The Cardinals won 62-28 last year in a game that was viewed as Lamar Jackson’s coming out party. Though the final score looked imposing, Louisville needed a 20-0 run in the fourth quarter to really create separation and seal the win.

Plenty more to come on the game come next week. But let’s take this one at a time. Wake Forest first, THEN Louisville.
