The Syracuse Orange fell to 4-5 on the season following a last-second missed field goal vs. Florida State on Saturday. That’s not great, especially because it takes a winnable contest off the table. Syracuse now has to win two of three to get back to a bowl game.
Last week, we were a pretty popular bowl choice from everyone but CBS. Now with a losing record, though, how do the various postseason prognosticators view SU?

As you’ll notice, these are all over the place.
The Pinstripe Bowl picks make the most sense, as it’s an easy draw for fans an the bowl game alike. Nebraska would be a beatable team, even with weather considerations. However, Iowa could be a bit scarier. They just trounced Ohio State and I feel like they could get pretty physical with Syracuse in the trenches (especially if snow plays a factor).
As I’ve mentioned, we don’t want to play WMU because of Tim Lester and starting against them next year. But at 4-5, can’t be too choosy anymore. Also, not sure why Sporting News still has us in the Camping World Bowl. It’s a pretty big game, and we want nothing to do with OK State.
