After a loss to Florida State, the Syracuse Orange still have not earned a vote in the college football polls.
With three games to go, SU is more worried about a bowl game than a number next to their name.
Here is how Syracuse’s ranked opponents fared in the ranks this week:
(AP/Coaches)
No. 4/No. 4 Clemson Tigers
Clemson bounced back after a bye week to beat NC State. It took an 89-yard touchdown at the end of the third and an interception on the games final play to hold off the N.C. State Wolfpack.

No. 7/No. 6 Miami Hurricanes
After two unranked wins, the ‘Canes beat No. 13 Virginia Tech on the shoulders of three scores from Malik Rosier and a 64-yard rushing TD by Travis Homer. They climbed up a pair of spots. Notre Dame comes to town this week, so Miami will get to prove themselves.
NR/No. 24 N.C. State Wolfpack
State was hot a few weeks ago with six straight wins, but back to back losses to Notre Dame and Clemson cost them their spot in the top 25. They still got votes in the AP, and stuck around with the Tigers until the last play.
NR/No. 25 LSU Tigers
LSU had a chance to re-prove themselves against Alabama. They didn’t get dominated, and the Tide had to grind a little to pull out a 24-10 victory. Regardless, the Tigers are 6-3 and just hanging on in the Coaches Poll.
