Class of 2019 five-star forward Isaiah Stewart will attend Syracuse’s game tonight vs. Oakland, he told NunesMagician.com earlier today.

Stewart, who is a native of Rochester, NY, transferred to La Lumiere School in Indiana over the summer to enhance his high school basketball competition. He attended McQuaid Jesuit in first two years of high school in Rochester.

247Sports ranks Stewart as the 20th-best player in the class, and the No. 1 player out of New York.

Stewart holds 33 offers, according to 247Sports. The top ones include Syracuse, Duke, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Maryland, Xavier, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Virginia and Texas, among others.

Stewart was building a solid relationship with Mike Hopkins before the long-time Syracuse assistant took the head coaching position at the University of Washington. Since Hop’s departure, Jim Boeheim and new assistant Allen Griffin have taken over his recruitment and continued to prioritize him.

Just two months ago, Boeheim and Griffin made the trip to Indiana to watch the five-star play.

As for Stewart’s interest in Syracuse — it’s high. He did, however, grow up a big Patrick Ewing fan. Ewing is now the head coach at Georgetown. Stewart wears No. 33 in honor of Ewing.

Syracuse (3-0) vs. Oakland (2-1) tips off at 7 p.m. ET and can be viewed on ESPN3.
