We didn’t get one of these updates up last week, but in that time, former Syracuse Orange defensive tackle Arthur Jones managed to play one game for Washington and then land on injured reserve. Hoping for a quick recovery this offseason for Art. It’s a bummer to see him lose his new chance so quickly.
But here’s how the other SU alums all fared in week 10:
Jay Bromley, DT, New York Giants
The Giants are officially in #TANKCITY, so it’s not surprise to see Bromley and the front four fail to generate the type of production one would’ve expected back in the offseason. He had one tackle in Sunday’s putrid loss to the previously winless 49ers.
Riley Dixon, P, Denver Broncos
Dixon’s put some good distance on punts each of the last two weeks. And despite just two punts last week against the Patriots, he still averaged over 47 yards per, and put one inside the 20. Denver is not looking too hot this year, but it hasn’t had as much to do with Dixon as it does the defense. He’ll keep at it.
Dwight Freeney, DE, Seattle Seahawks
Though Seattle got the win over Arizona on Sunday night, it was the first game since Feeney’s been back where he failed to record a sack. He had three in his first two games since joining the Seahawks.
Chandler Jones, LB, Arizona Cardinals
Jones has been one of the season’s fiercest pass-rushers yet again, recording at least a sack in all but one contest so far this season. He had one against Seattle on Sunday, giving him 10 for the season. That mark ties him for third in the entire league, though he’s just 1.5 sacks away from the top of the board.
Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cam failed to log any stats in Tampa’s 15-10 win over the Jets on Sunday. He’s played a limited role this year, but maintains his active roster spot and jumps in when called upon. He’s recorded three tackles on the season so far.
Justin Pugh, OL, New York Giants
Pugh’s been dealing with a back injury these past couple weeks, and despite coming back to play in Sunday’s game against San Francisco, his health status now appears in doubt for the near future. Not a great break for the soon-to-be free agent.
Shamarko Thomas, S, Buffalo Bills
Playing as a reserve, #SHAMARKO failed to record any stats in the Bills’ blowout loss to the Saints. You’d think he’d get a bit more burn in a blowout like that, but apparently Buffalo isn’t interested in trying out other options in the secondary for extended periods.
