The ACC has announced game times for what is hopefully NOT the final game of the season for the Syracuse Orange. When SU hosts the Boston College Eagles on November 25, they’ll be doing so at 12:20 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
Notably, that’s not necessarily ACC Network Extra (though it’ll probably stream there too). You’ll end up needing to check your local affiliate for television times.
Syracuse is currently 4-6 (2-4 in the ACC) with a game at Louisville this week. Boston College is 5-5 (3-4) with a game against UConn coming up.
While the teams started this season on different paths, they’ve seemingly converged since. BC went from 1-3 to 5-4 and won three straight ACC games at one point. The Orange started 2-2 against a tough schedule, but the Clemson game sort of convinced everyone to look past the W-L record a bit. Since a win over the Tigers to get to 4-3, they’ve dropped three straight in frustrating fashion. SU now needs to win the next two games in order to make a bowl this year.
A win here would also go a long way toward collecting a fifth straight #OrangeEagle trophy — an award we ruined by dominating BC so often that no one cares about it anymore.
We’ll have plenty more on this game next week, and hopefully we’re eyeing a bowl bid in the process. After a one-year respite from the post-Thanksgiving date, these teams are back on the Saturday after. We probably have a variety of views on whether this date is good for the teams or not, so feel free to share your thoughts on that topic below.
