The ACC dominated the top of week 11 college football polls.

At the start of the season, we knew the Syracuse Orange had a tough schedule all the way through. We did not know that when week 12 rolled around, two of SU’s opponents (one of which they beat) would be in the coveted top four.

The Miami Hurricanes are for real and the Clemson Tigers have bounced back. Here is how the polls rank Syracuse’s foes:

(AP/Coaches)

No. 2/No. 2 Miami Hurricanes

Yep. The U is real (and maybe back?). Miami absolutely dominated at home against Notre Dame. They took down the Irish, 41-8 and their defense was absolutely ferocious. ‘Cuse hung with them better than the Irish did. Let that sink in.

No. 4/No. 3 Clemson Tigers

Four games after being upset in the Dome Clemson hangs on to their fourth spot. They beat Florida State pretty easily 31-14. Quarterback Kelly Bryant looks good after his injury and the defense has been close to flawless as of late.

No. 21/No. 21 LSU Tigers

Just hanging around in the top 25. Arkansas came to Baton Rouge for a 33-10 loss to the Tigers. Derrius Guice ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns, while D.J. Clark caught two scores.

No. 25/No. 22 N.C. State Wolfpack

Back to back top 10 losses dropped NC State way down in the ranks. They bounced back a little with a win over Boston College but have still lost almost all of their momentum in both the Coaches’ eyes and the AP Poll.

No one else received votes.
