The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team is BACK (sort of). For tonight’s exhibition opener, SU hosts the Division II Southern New Hampshire Penmen, whose season came to an end at LeMoyne last year in the first round at the NCAA Tournament.
But Syracuse is obviously the team you’re focusing in on. While we won’t get a full look at the lineup (Mike Waters says that Geno Thorpe’s out), it’ll be good to see the young kids -- of which, there are many -- get some time on the floor. We’ve seen very little of this team outside of Tyus Battle and Frank Howard, so any glimpses are welcome ones.
Before the game starts (at 7 p.m. ET), we’ve included some reading material below. You can stream the matchup on ACC Network Extra if you don’t plan to attend at the Carrier Dome tonight. Bobby Manning is covering in-person for us, so you can follow him for live updates.
