One day after ACC Media Day wrapped up, we have the results from the attendee preseason poll.
The Syracuse Orange are projected to finish 10th in the league, according to the 69 (nice.) voters in attendance. While significantly ahead of Wake Forest, listed 11th, there was also a considerable gap between SU and Georgia Tech in 9th.
While the number seems low, it’s not really that far off from where they were last year (tied for eighth). And given the inexperience, it’s understandable that onlookers would see this as a slight step back from last season, at least on paper.
While Syracuse didn’t place any players on the All-ACC first or second team, Oshae Brissett received a vote ACC preseason rookie of the year. That honor was overwhelmingly won by Duke’s Marvin Bagley III, however, with 58 of the 69 votes.
