Washington is Syracuse’s fourth commit for 2018, in addition to French guard Kadiatou Sissoko, New York City guard Emily Engstler, and European guard Kenza Salgues. Washington, a three-star prospect according to ESPN, joins Salgues as the Orange’s second three-star commit for the 2018 class.
Syracuse also adds the talents of former four-star recruit Kiara Lewis, a transfer from Ohio State, next year. Lewis, also a guard, played one year with the Buckeyes and will sit out this coming season per NCAA rules.
Despite a large-scale departure of talent this offseason, SU has used a nice mix of transfers and elite recruits to build this roster right back up. Quentin Hillsman’s team tips off the 2017-18 season on Friday, November 10 vs. Morgan State.
