Syracuse football releases week 6 depth chart vs. Pittsburgh

Who’s playing vs. Pitt? Most of the same names that were in against NC State.

The Syracuse Orange depth chart is usually about a week behind the actual roster adjustments, and that remains true this week. SU released its updated depth chart for Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Panthers, and it’s largely unchanged from what we were able to observe on-field vs. NC State:

The notable changes from what was published last week:

  • An “OR” designation for McKinley Williams and Kayton Samuels at nose tackle
  • And an “OR” for Kendall Coleman and Brandon Berry at defensive end

Williams started last week, but Samuels still saw the field plenty. Coleman was out last week and is currently “questionable” on the injury report, so Berry started in his place already anyway.

One might expect a change at the punt returner position soon, given that Steve Ishmael took Sean Riley’s spot in one instance last week. Additionally, keep an eye on the kicker position. While Cole Murphy’s hit some field goals this year, he’s been a bit shaky and can’t seem to keep kickoffs inbounds. Sterling Hofrichter took Syracuse’s final field goal of the day vs. NC State (which he made).
