No. 7/No. 8 Clemson Tigers
Number two no more. You know the story, you’ve seen all of the aftermath and now it shows in the numbers. Dino Babers said he still thinks Clemson will be a final four team, but Syracuse’s upset made waves across the country.
No. 8/No. 7 Miami Hurricanes
Miami is now right with Clemson in the top ten. They went up three spots in both polls after squeaking out a win over Georgia Tech 25-24. Next week the ‘Canes host the ‘Cuse, and Syracuse is looking for back to back top ten wins.
No. 16/17 N.C. State Wolfpack
State is 6-1, and still looking very good. They kept climbing the ranks after beating Pitt 35-17. The Wolfpack will be tested the next two weeks against Notre Dame (No. 13/No. 16) and Clemson.
No. 24/25 LSU Tigers
After being on the outs for a while, LSU is back to just hang on to a ranked spot. They are 5-2 after taking down a top ten opponent in Auburn. They’ll have a big chance to prove themselves against ‘Bama in a few weeks.
Also receiving votes: Just Florida State, and just one vote. Louisville lost to Boston College and is completely out of consideration now.
