His teammate and class of 2017 point guard Howard Washington, Jr. will also be visiting with him this weekend, sources told TNIAAM. The Orange are expected to watch the two play in a few weeks for Athlete Institute, a source said.
Brissett has visited Syracuse a few times, including his official visit for Orange Madness in October 2016.
He chose Syracuse at halftime of the Knicks-Raptors game in Toronto on Nov. 12. Brissett chose the Orange over USC, Memphis and Oregon.
Jerry Meyer of 247Sports has Brissett ranked as the 52nd-best prospect in the 2017 class, while other sites don’t have him in the Top 100.
The 6-foot-9 forward is described as freakishly athletic, and an active defender that plays above the rim. He’s very good on the glass, gets up and down the court with ease and is an ideal Jim Boeheim recruit for the 2-3 zone.
Howard Washington, Jr., a 2017 prospect, is on Syracuse’s radar. He doesn’t have a scholarship offer yet, but the coaches have been in contact with him for a few years now. He attended Canisius High School before transferring to Montverde Academy in Florida. He now attends Athlete Institute in Canada.
