The Syracuse Orange continue working toward building the class of 2017. And while they’ve yet to sign any recruits, many of them are including SU among their top choices when that time comes.

Today, another name you’ll be hearing more about as his decision nears is Oshae Brissett.

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound small forward is a four-star recruit and among the top 100 players in the country according to most lists. He’s a native of Mono, Ontario and is playing at Athlete Institute there this year. Brissett played at Las Vegas’s Findlay Prep last season.

Brissett announced his top four of Syracuse, Memphis, Oregon and USC with accompanying visit dates where applicable too. He’ll visit the Ducks on Oct. 29 and the Trojans on Feb. 20. No surprise he’ll be on campus at SU for Oct. 22, the same weekend as Orange Madness. We’ll see if he ends up getting in on Friday (Oct. 21) for the event, however.

Along with those finalists, Brissett received offers from a host of other schools such as UCLA, Oklahoma, Utah, UNLV, Cal and San Diego State, among others.

Brissett could the latest Canada product to play for Syracuse hoops in a long line of them. Some of the Orange’s most recent additions from north of the border include Tyler Ennis, Kris Joseph, Andy Rautins.

Some film of Brissett is below, for those interested:
