Well this is the kind of Friday afternoon news dump we can get behind.
Hamidou Diallo, a class of 2017 SG from Putnam Science Academy (CT), will go on an unofficial visit to Syracuse this weekend.

As you're probably aware, Diallo is a big deal for Syracuse Orange basketball. The Putnam Science Academy shooting guard is rated by some as the No.1 shooting guard in the entire 2017 Class. The 6'5" talent has five stars from each of the major scouting services and is considered one of the ten best overall players in the class by multiple ones.
It's his second unofficial visit to SU as he also attended last season's NC State game in the Carrier Dome.
Diallo is so good that he recently mentioned that because he graduated from Putnam last year and is now doing a "post-graduate season" there, he would be eligible to go directly to the NBA if he wanted. He said it's something he would "look into."
Clearly, he's keeping all his options open by still visiting with schools. The big-time guard has too many offers to list but you can include Syracuse, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, UConn, and Louisville on the list.
If he does go to college, Diallo is almost certainly a one-and-done talent. Still, who is Syracuse to say no given what he can bring to the table? Especially when the Orange will have just lost two fifth-year guards and possibly Tyler Lydon.
