Syracuse Lacrosse: SU announces Alumni All-Stars roster

Lacrosse is back! It’s BACK!!!

The seventh annual Orange Alumni Classic game will take place in the Carrier Dome on Saturday at 4 PM. First up though, the Legends Game will be played at 2:30 PM. If you’re going, it will cost $10 but parking is free. As of right now it does not look like the game will be streamed.

This year’s Alumni squad will look to bounce back after an 11-9 loss to the Varsity in last year’s Orange Alumni Classic. The Alumni features eight 2016 graduates while the oldest player appearing will be Matt Alexander, a 1999 graduate. Three of of the Alumni players were selected in the 2016 MLL All-Star Game. Per my count, the Syracuse Orange have four alumni who coach at the Division I level, excluding Coach Desko. John Galloway and Casey Powell joined Jacksonville this summer as the head coach and offensive coordinator while Bryant’s Mike Pressler recently hired Dominic Lamolinara away from Navy as a volunteer assistant coach. Although those three will be absent on Saturday, Matt Abbott, a volunteer assistant coach for the Colgate Raiders, is on the roster.
