Syracuse vs. Notre Dame will kick off at noon on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

We’ve got a time. Now we just need a network confirmation.

As is customary, the ACC announced football television schedules a couple weeks out from the games taking place. For the Syracuse Orange, that means its neutral-site game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Per today’s announcement, SU and Notre Dame will kick off at noon ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. For those not in attendance on October 1, you’ll be able to watch the game on one of ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. That decision will be made following the games this coming Saturday, September 24.

Syracuse (1-2, 0-1) will face the UConn Huskies this week, while Notre Dame (1-2) hosts Duke. Additional teams slated for the ABC/ESPN family of networks will also impact where this one ends up. Should the Orange fail to get a win over the Huskies, ESPN2 sounds like the spot for most viewers.

SU is 3-4 all-time against Notre Dame, losing the last game (also at MetLife Stadium) 31-15 in 2014. The Orange have actually won three of the last five in the series as well, oddly enough (the most recent of those five games coming all the way back in 1963, however).

While nothing’s guaranteed in this one, it would figure to be a high-scoring affair. The Fighting Irish are currently allowing 32 points per game, while Syracuse has given up 38 per. Either way, now you know when you’re watching come October 1.
