The 2017 PG is another big name considering the Orange in what could be a stacked class for Syracuse.

Syracuse is in the top ten for yet another big-time recruit.

Class of 2017 point guard Matt Coleman narrowed his list to ten schools, with the Orange right in the thick of them. As reported by Ben Sigel of CuseNation.com, Coleman has quite the list:

Syracuse, Virginia, Seton Hall, Texas, Stanford, Washington, Arizona, Xavier, Louisville, and NC State all made Coleman’s list.

“Coach Autry reasches out every other day,” he told CuseNation.com a few weeks ago. “They haven’t officially offered yet. They will though.

“They fit my style and I’d be playing in the ACC,” is just a few reasons why he likes the Orange.

Coleman is yet another huge talent in the 2017 class that is considering the Orange. He is a four-star recruit that is rated as the eighth-best player at his position in his class by 247Sports.

While it is still early in the process to determine if he will be in an Orange uniform or not, it’s always good to read about the sustained successes in the recruiting world for the basketball program. Despite Jim Boeheim’s uncertain future in the coming years, Syracuse is still getting top-quality talent and proves that this trend should continue even if James Arthur does, in fact, retire when he says he will (I’ll believe it when I see it).

Here is a feature on Coleman as he plays for the USA Basketball Men’s U18 team:
