Donovn McNabb had a fantastic football career from his days as a Syracuse Orange to becoming an NFL legend. His post-football life, however, has not exactly been a smooth ride.

After his retirement from the NFL, McNabb held broadcasting positions with FOX, FS1, and NBC Sports Radio. He was let go from these positions following his DUI arrest last year. He spent 18 days in jail following the arrest.

McNabb is now being given a second chance as it was announced that he would join Brian Custer on a new ESPN radio show titled "McNabb & Custer." The show will air Sunday nights from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. ET.

In an interview with BillyPenn.com, McNabb stated "Everyone makes mistakes. I'm so excited at getting this opportunity to work with ESPN and get back on track and get more involved in sports and being able to talk about them"

McNabb also talked about his comfort level speaking in front of a camera and how he learned this skill from his playing days. "Not everyone is able to talk in front of the camera. Now, we know about [people] who can talk to their friends or at the barber shop or whatever and they can talk about anything, but as soon as they put that light on them, and they see that red light and it's time to go, not everybody is comfortable with that. And I've been truly comfortable with it."

Lastly, McNabb had this to say about his new show. "It's not just going to be football based. We're going to talk about all the hot topics, what's hot at that particular point, and roll through it."

McNabb has been known to have very strong opinions in the past, so it should be interesting to see what he has to say on his new show. If nothing else, it should be entertaining for sports fans.

The show will premiere on Sunday, September 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
