The Syracuse Orange will host two exhibition games in the Carrier Dome before the 2016-2017 season against Indiana University of Pennsylvania on November 1 and Le Moyne on November 8.
The IUP Crimson Hawks are a D-II program coming off a 21-8 season that ended in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament. Head coach Joe Lombardi is in his 11th season and brings a 225-85 record with him as well.
The LeMoyne Dolphins, you know. The local D-II program famously defeated Syracuse in an exhibition game back in 2009 when Boeheim decided to teach his players a lesson and make them play man-to-man. The team is now coached by Patrick Beilein, son of Michigan coach John Beilein. Last year, the Dolphins went 10-17 in his first season and the two schools met in an exhibition. This time, Syracuse won 97-58.
Syracuse will officially begin the season on November 11 when they host Colgate.
