Get to know your Orange man - No. 16, QB Zack Mahoney

Mahoney is an incredibly likable player who should hold a significant role for the Orange this season.

Year: Junior

Height: 6-2

Weight: 206 lbs

Hometown: LaGrange Park, Ill.

High School: Lyons Township

2015 Stats: Threw for 535 yards and seven touchdowns in eight games last season.

2016 Projections: Mahoney is listed as the backup to Eric Dungey on the depth chart, but that doesn’t mean he won’t see time. With the up-tempo Dino Babers offense, you could see Mahoney out there in relief quite a bit.

How’d He Get Here: Mahoney started his college career in junior college prior to joining the Orange. At the College of DuPage, Mahoney threw for nearly 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns.
