No matter what happens during a Syracuse Orange football season, at least we usually have FanFest. This preseason event brings football players & coaches together with local fans for a fun day full of autographs, photo ops, and inflatable jumpies.

Not this year, unfortunately, as the weather decided not to cooperate.

The 2016 Preferred Mutual 'Cuse Fan Fest scheduled for Saturday, August 13 is cancelled due to the impending storms being forecast for Syracuse this weekend. The outdoor event cannot be held due to concerns for the safety of the participants and fans.

The good news is that Syracuse Athletics Yard Sale in Manley Field House is still on. Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday and running until 2 p.m., fans can peruse men's & women's apparel as well as other equipment that SU Athletics just doesn't need anymore. Remember, cash & credit only. Leave your checkbook at home.

While you're there, look out for the inflatable jumpies that will not be inflated or jumped upon, and give them a thumbs up. They wanted to be there for you, Syracuse fans. It just wasn't their time.
