Name: Cordell Hudson

Position: Cornerback

Year: Redshirt Sophomore

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 183

Hometown: Largo, Fla.

High School: Largo

2015 Stats: Hudson earned a lot of playing time as a redshirt freshman, playing in all 12 games last year and starting in five. His 42 tackles were the fifth best on the team, and his two interceptions tied for a team-high.

2016 Projections: He is listed as one of the starting cornerbacks in the post-spring depth chart. It looks like his solid play last year has paid off and he will get a great chance to keep up the positive momentum this season.

How'd He Get Here?: Despite offers from a few other schools, Hudson picked the Orange in December of 2013 and signed his letter of intent on February 5th, 2014, according to 247Sports.

What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Three star ranking all around.

Money Quote: Ahead of facing Clemson and highly-talented QB Deshaun Watson, Hudson seemed confident and ready for the challenge when talking to CuseTV.

"Just do my job. My job is to cover receivers and that is what I am going to do,"

Links of Wonder: Hudson is now a full-go in training camp!

What Does the Coaching Staff Think of Him: Don't see much, but it seems like he has a starting position as of now and it is his to lose.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: He was a captain on his high school team in both his junior and senior seasons. He majors in economics at SU.
