Name: Hernz Laguerre

Position: Defensive Line

Year: Senior

Height: 6'1''

Weight: 234

Hometown: Spring Valley, NY

High School: Spring Valley

2015 Stats: Made his debut in the season-opener against Rhode Island but that his only appearance.

2016 Projections: He has redshirt freshman Jake Pickard ahead of him on the depth chart, so don't expect Laguerre to see too much playing time this season. However, you never know with injuries and things like that.

How'd He Get Here?: Laguerre didn't even play football until his senior year at Spring Valley High School. He then walked-on as a freshman.

What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Laguerre was a walk-on, so he didn't receive ratings from any recruiting sites.

Money Quote: "That last game it was hard to let go and give back the pads. That's when I decided that whatever school I go to, I'd try out for the team."

Links of Wonder: Check out this great read from The NewsHouse on Laguerre and his love for both football and poetry.

Tweets of Wonder: Looks like Hernz is a Warriors fan...

What Does the Coaching Staff Think of Him?: The coaching staff have not commented on him yet but Laguerre has said that he has faith in Dino Babers and his new system.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: As mentioned before, Laguerre loves poetry. He is also majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism in Newhouse.

Let's Get a Good Look Atcha: Listen to Laguerre talk about his transition from linebacker to DE.
