Name: Cody Conway
Position: Offensive Tackle
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 295
Hometown: Plainfield, Ill.
High School: Plainfield North
2015 Stats: Conway was one of 15 true freshman to play for the Syracuse Orange last season, seeing action in six games at left tackle.
2016 Projections: Cody is listed as the backup to redshirt senior Michael Lasker at left tackle on the post-spring depth chart. With the pace that we all expect from Dino Babers's offense, you'd expect that the backups on the offensive line will see their fair share of time.
How'd He Get Here: Back in May 2014, Conway committed to Syracuse on the very same day as fellow offensive lineman Samuel Clausman and Colin Byrne. After visiting earlier in spring 2014, he committed to the Orange over offers from Illinois, Rutgers, Western Michigan and Buffalo.
What'd Scouts/Rivals Say: Conway was rated three stars across the board.
Money Quote: Conway had this to say about what it was like facing ACC-level competition for the first time:
"When I got on the field a few times, I wasn't able to kind of figure out ACC-quality D-ends. It's a combination of the speed and then the moves they do. Some of the moves these guys do are moves you don't really see in high school because the D-ends don't know them. I went up against Ron (Thompson) every day. I feel that got me a lot more prepared because I was going against a great D-end, and some of his moves were some of the best I've seen."

Really wonder how my life will turn out and if it will meet my expectations.

What Does The Coaching Staff Think of Him: Conway spent all of spring ball competing for a starting spot with a redshirt senior, so the staff clearly sees ability and potential in him.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: At Plainfield North HS, Conway played both ways for the football team. He manned left tackle on offense, and lined up at defensive end on the defensive side.
