Name: Jacob Hill
Position: Wide Receiver
High School: Detroit County Day
2015 Stats: Hill played in 10 games during his freshman season for the Syracuse Orange, mostly on special teams. He made his collegiate debut against Rhode Island, rushing 17 times for a career-best 75 yards in the second half.
2016 Projections: On SU's post-spring depth chart, Hill is listed behind Brisly Estime at one of the inside receiver positions. In Dino's #OrangeIsTheNewFast offense, he should see the field plenty as a primary backup.
How'd He Get Here: Hill walked-on to the team as a running back during last year's preseason camp, and made the move to receiver prior to the start of 2016 spring practice.
What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Not much to say on any recruiting sites. He was a walk-on, after all.
Money Quote: On why his small stature never kept him away from the football field:
"As you can see, it's mostly about talent and heart. That's two of the things I have. I have a lot of heart, a lot of heart. My size never kept me away from doing anything, so I just keep going."
Links of Wonder: Look no further than an article by our own Andrew Carey from this past December, which highlighted Hill's impressive dance moves that he likes to show off on his Twitter account.

What Does the Coaching Staff Think of Him?: I guess they think he can be useful at the receiver position, since they moved him there in spring ball and have him listed as one of the second stringers. Not too shabby for an undersized, former walk-on player.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: According to an interview Hill did last fall, he is actually a nephew of former Syracuse basketball star Wesley Johnson.
