Get To Know Your Orange Man - No. 38 Kicker Alex Grossman

Get to know the recent walk-on to the Syracuse football team.

NCAA Football: Syracuse at Wake Forest Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Alex Grossman

Position: Place Kicker

Year: Senior

Height: 5’9”

Weight: 148 lbs.

Hometown: Woodbury, N.Y

Highschool: Syosset

2015 Stats: Grossman joined the team as a walk-on prior to spring practice in 2016.

2016 Projections: Grossman is listed behind Cole Murphy on the post-spring depth chart. Barring any injuries to Murphy, who was solid last season, I don't think you'll see much of Grossman.

How’d He Get Here?: He decided to walk-on with the Orange just this past spring. It will likely be the only season you see him in uniform.

What’d Recruiting Sites Say?: Nothing from the recruiting sites because he is a walk-on.

Money Quote: Not too many quotes from Alex because he just recently joined the squad.

Links of Wonder: Not really any links on him. But this Syracuse.com story mentions that Grossman along with Sterling Hofrichter and Cole Murphy will have to replace kickoff specialist Ryan Norton.

Twitterfeed: @zander009

Tweets of Wonder: Never a good sign...

What Does Babers Think Of Him?: Again, not too much from Babers, but Grossman making the team as a walk-on shows is promising.

Interesting Nugget O’Interest: As a senior he made 25-26 PATs and all four of his field goals, which was good for second in scoring for Nassau County kickers behind former Syracuse kicker Ryan Norton.

Let’s Get a Good Look Atcha: Here’s his kicking compilation:
