Get To Know Your Orange Man - No. 39, LB Troy Henderson

After redshirting his freshman season, this linebacker looks to make an impact this year.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Troy Henderson

Position: Linebacker

Year: Redshirt-Freshman

Height: 5'11''

Weight: 216

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

High School: St. Edward

2015 Stats: He redshirted the season.

2016 Projections: As of now, he is listed second on the Syracuse Orange depth chart behind junior Zaire Franklin. Franklin has the job pretty well locked up so it doesn't look like Henderson will get a lot of time right away, but you never know what will happen throughout the season.

How'd He Get Here?: Henderson chose the Orange over offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Kent State, Nebraska, Ohio, Rutgers, Toledo and Western Michigan.

What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Henderson was given three stars from Scout, Rivals, and ESPN.

Money Quote: "In the deep middle third, reading the quarterback, I love that. I love the new system."
