Name: Donnie Foster
Position: Center
Year: (Redshirt) Sophomore
Height: 6’ 3”
Weight: 325 lbs.
Hometown: Savannah, Georgia
High School: IMG Academy (Florida)
2015 Stats: Donnie didn't play in any games.
2016 Projections: Foster is listed as the third-string center on Syracuse’s Post-Spring Depth Chart. Foster is behind both Jason Emerich and Taylor Hindy. Unless there are some serious injuries, its not likely that Foster sees much time.
How’d He Get Here?: He spent a year at IMG where he received some offers from Harvard and Dartmouth. He also had a chance to play as a preferred walk-on at Georgia or Auburn, but he chose Syracuse and he's now on scholarship here!
What’d Recruiting Sites Say?: Not much, which isn't necessarily all that bad.
Money Quote: Talking about his time at IMG academy:
“I’ve definitely become a tennis fan since I’ve been here. One of my close friends who plays helped that along.” Foster joked, “It’s made me want to play a little tennis, too, even though I don't think I have the body type for it! But its great just going out there and having fun with it.”
