Taurean Thompson will play for the Syracuse Orange. His drawn-out recruitment process ends today, according to Syracuse.com's Mike Waters, who spoke with his mother.

As you'll recall, the four-star Brewster Academy (N.H.) power forward had been deciding between SU, Seton Hall and Michigan State for some time. Thompson, the 75th-ranked player in the ESPN 100 for 2016, is 6-foot-9 and 220 pounds and will be a huge boost for an Orange program looking to add depth to the front court. Tyler Roberson and Dajuan Coleman both complete their eligibility this season, while Paschal Chuwkwu will have a couple years left.

With Thompson in the fold now, Syracuse's 2016 class is complete. He joins Matthew Moyer and Tyus Battle, both of whom are already on campus.

Syracuse has also added Colorado State Rams guard John Gillon this offseason, and is currently hosting Nebraska Cornhuskers guard Andrew White III with the prospect of him joining the program for next year. Both would be able to play right away for the Orange

Happy Friday and happy Independence Day weekend, Orange fans! Not a bad way to start your holiday...
