Every year, Syracuse Orange fans look forward to the incoming class of football players to form the new base from which the program can grow. And every year, there's always a couple guys who unfortunately don't make it into camp for one reason or another. The first casualty of the 2016 NLI signees is officially in as we learn RB Jo-El Shaw reportedly did not qualify academically and will head to Lackawanna College to play JUCO ball.
Syracuse football RB signee Jo-El Shaw will play at Lackawanna College instead of Syracuse this fall, an LC source confirms to @DOsports.— Matt Schneidman (@matt_schneidman) June 28, 2016
Nate Mink added that Shaw reportedly didn't qualify, though that's not yet confirmed.
