The 2016 NBA Draft is behind us and that means it's time to start wondering about the NBA summer league. Specifically, which former Syracuse Orange players will be participating in it?

We can guess that Malachi Richardson will be there repping the Sacramento Kings and Michael Gbinije will be there with the Detroit Pistons, but who else?

Well we know now that James Southerland will be involved. The former SU forward will play for the Washington Wizards.

Southie will participate in the Las Vegas league, which runs from July 8 to 18. After spending the last two years in Europe, Southerland wants to make one more run at the NBA. James made the Charlotte Hornets roster in 2013 but ended up getting released. He reappeared with the New Orleans Pelicans later that year but only in three games. The played for the Oklahoma City Thunder in last year's summer league.

Depending on how things go with Summer League play, Southerland could still join Boeheim's Army as the Sweet Sixteen "ringer" if they ask and he wants to.
