Name: Alvin Cornelius III
Position: Wide Receiver
Year: (Redshirt) Senior
Height: 6-1
Weight: 187 lbs.
Hometown: Staten Island, N.Y.
High School: Tottenville
2015 Stats: Played in all 12 games, starting in two of them. Cornelius totaled six catches for 56 yards. He also saw time on special teams where he recorded a handful of tackles.
2016 Projections: Cornelius was listed as a starter on Syracuse’s Post-Spring Depth Chart. Regardless of Cornelius’ production he's sure to see the field due to Syracuse’s high paced offense and the need to use a bunch of wide receivers. Jamal Custis is listed behind Cornelius and it will be interesting to see whether or not this staff will be able to figure out how to use his size. That could give Custis an advantage in the red zone over Alvin.
How’d He Get Here?: Former Syracuse assistant John Anselmo reeled in Cornelius, who held offers from the likes of UConn, Rutgers, and Vanderbilt.
What’d Recruiting Sites Say: Scout said three stars, while ESPN and Rivals both said two stars.
Money Quote: Steve Ishmael on Cornelius:
“Alvin Cornelius is actually surprisingly really good.”
You might want to check that phrasing Steve.
Cornelius’ Money Quote: On more playing time this season:
“I haven't really gotten that many opportunities since I’ve been here. But since Coach Babers and them came I’m running with the first-team, getting a lot of passes thrown to me.”

Tweets of Wonder: Here’s Alvin throwing some shade at the Warriors after they lost Game 6 in Cleveland.

What Does Dino Babers Think of Him?: Not much yet. But if he's listed as a starter he must like him a little right?
Interesting Nugget O’ Interest: Alvin’s cousin, Glen Pedro played running back at Marshall from 1990-1993.
Let’s Get a Good Luck Atocha: Cornelius made a nice grab against Louisville in a losing effort.
