2017 priority target Nick Richards has named Syracuse amongst his top schools.

It is well known that Syracuse Orange basketball needs a huge recruiting class in 2017, seeing as few as three current players could still be on the roster. While the Orange don't currently have any commitments for the Class of 2017, they appear to be in good standing with at least one priority prospect.

In an interview with Scout.com's Josh Gershon at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, 2017 6-foot-10 Center Nick Richards mentioned Cuse amongst his list of top schools, which also included Indiana, UConn, Arizona, and Kentucky. Richards, rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com, is considered a high priority for the Orange staff in the Class of 2017 and is perhaps the biggest priority at the center position.

Richards has been taking his recruiting process very slow, choosing instead to focus on school and developing his game. As of now, the end of his junior year, he has only taken two unofficial visits; to UConn and Villanova. He currently has no visits scheduled and no timetable for his decision, but he says he will commit when he feels he is ready.
