It might be a little on the early side to start worrying about winter holiday plans, but one portion of your schedule has just come into focus for Syracuse Orange basketball fans.
That would be the weekend of December 17. CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reported on Wednesday that the Syracuse-Georgetown rivalry will resume in the Carrier Dome right before the holiday season kicks off. Rothstein cited anonymous sources in his report.
Syracuse will host Georgetown on December 17th at the Carrier Dome, source told @CBSSports. Return game of home-and-home series.

Georgetown's visit to Syracuse was initially announced when the schools signed a contract in 2014 to play a home-and-home series with each other, but the date had not been officially determined until now. Today's announcement is just the latest in a series of men's basketball scheduling releases that have come out over the past few weeks.
Other non-conference, marquee dates that have been reported include neutral site games against UConn (Dec. 5 at MSG) and South Carolina (Nov. 26 at Barlays Center), as well as a home game against St. John's (Dec. 21). We also have announced dates for a few other non-conference home games, including Holy Cross (Nov. 15), Monmouth (Nov. 18) and South Carolina State (Nov. 22).
We are still waiting on a scheduled date and opponent for Syracuse's game in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
The current time is 3:24 PM EST.....and Georgetown still sucks!
