The Syracuse Orange women's basketball team will play the Michigan State Spartans in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge on November 30 in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse will be playing in its fourth ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and the Orange currently owns a 1-2 record in the event. They defeated Penn State in 2014, and lost to Iowa in 2013 and Maryland this past season.

Game times and television coverage will be announced at a later date.

This will mark the second all-time meeting between the two programs. The Orange and Spartans first met at the 2014 Florida Sunshine Classic, where Michigan State came away with an 89-76 victory. Point guard Alexis Peterson tallied 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the loss.

Syracuse is coming off the best season in program history. Last season, they set program records on their way to the national championship game by defeating five nationally-ranked opponents, winning 13 conference games, notching 23 regular-season victories, and collecting 30 overall wins.

The team finished the season ranked third in the final coaches' poll after losing to Connecticut in the national championship game, its highest ranking in program history.

Michigan State finished the 2015-16 season with a 25-9 overall record, finished runners-up in the 2016 Big Ten Tournament to Maryland and advanced to the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
