A $200M+ renovation of the Carrier Dome is on it's way and it's going to be full of new features. Pete Sala says a lot of the amenities are still being finalized but we can expect to see things like a central Jumbotron, LED technology, improved Wi-Fi, and improved facilities.
But none of that is important. What we want to know is, what's the "fun" addition? What's our version of the Chase Field swimming pool or the Miami Marlins Home Run fountain? Syracuse sports teams need their version of the Home Run Apple.
So what should our local quirk be? We asked some of the TNIAAM staff to share their thoughts.

Areas around the Dome where fans can live out some classic Syracuse moments. In Otto's World, you get to put on the Otto costume and get a video of your 2-3 minute time in the costume sent to their phone. Other areas allow you to try and replicate other classic Syracuse moments like Hakim's Block, Air Gait, Justyn Knight's 1-Shoe Win and Riley Dixon's fake FG.

Stadiums with pools are in hot climates, so stadiums in cold climates should have ... ? Let's go with an ice skating rink. Albeit needs to be a small one to fit in the Dome, but if they hired a few babysitters parents could drop their kids off while they go watch the game.

Let's not try to reinvent the wheel. Rather, let's reinvent the apple. Give me a giant friggin' orange on the roof that lights up whenever the Syracuse Orange do something awesome like score a touchdown or win a basketball game. Normally, the roof is translucent and clear. But when magic happens, it turns BRIGHT ORANGE. It's cheesy, it's stupid, but it's ours. Kinda like Otto.
Your turn. What "fun" addition should we add to the Dome? And if your answer is "Nothing, this is dumb," delete your account and go comment at Syracuse.com.
