Syracuse basketball has offered 5-star power forward Simi Shittu a scholarship, per Andrew Slater with 247Sports. Shittu is 6'8" and 210 pounds, and has a five star ranking on multiple recruiting sites.

Shittu is from Burlington, Ontario and currently attends Montverde Academy in Florida. He also plays for the CIA Bounce in the EYBL. Shittu averaged 17.3 points per game over four games in action for the Bounce this past weekend. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game, while shooting 65 percent from the field.

Montverde Academy has recently spurned talent such as former LSU forward Ben Simmons, who is projected to be the number one overall pick in this year's NBA Draft. Montverde assistant coach Ray Miller said Shittu's best quality is his consistency and that he is "one of the best rebounders in the country." Over his sophomore season, Miller said Shittu averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game while shooting just under 70 percent from the field.

The Orange have been successful recruiting Canadian players in the past, most recently former guard Tyler Ennis and former forward Kris Joseph.
