The Syracuse Orange added a second wide receiver for the class of 2017. According to Scout, Miami (Booker T. Washington High School) wide receiver Sharod Johnson has announced that he'll head to SU. The unrated, 5-foot-11 and 165-pound wideout chose the Orange overs offers from Temple, Toledo, Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic and others.
Johnson is the second Syracuse commitment this weekend, joining New Jersey quarterback Tommy DeVito. He's also the second Miami-area receiver in the class of 2017, along with long-time verbal Daewood Davis from Hollywood, Fla.
Scout projects Johnson as a slot receiver in Dino Babers's offense at Syracuse.
Just because he's unrated at this moment doesn't mean things will stay that way. The 2017 recruiting cycle is just getting started and there's a lot more evaluations left for every site to write up. Video of Johnson can be found below, for those that want to draw their own conclusions about his fit with SU.
