GameThread: Syracuse Men's Lacrosse (6-4) vs. UNC (7-4)

The North Carolina Tar Heels and Syracuse Orange faceoff at 4 PM in the Carrier Dome Saturday. The game carries not only massive ACC implications, but is an opportunity for both these teams to add to their NCAA Tournament resume.

Since starting off 5-0, the Orange have fallen fast, winning just one of its previous five contests. A loss to the Tar Heels would leave the SU in a position to potentially not make the ACC Tournament, and furthermore, would put it's NCAA post-season in jeopardy.

UNC, meanwhile, has peaked at the right time for the first time in a long time. The Heels are coming off of back-to-back ACC wins against Duke and Virginia.

The last matchup between these two programs resulted in a 9-8 Syracuse win in the ACC semis. Nevertheless, Carolina destroyed UVA last weekend and is looking more and more like a championship caliber team. Watch out.
