2016 Syracuse Orange Blogger Awards Voting: Most Surprising Player

There were questions in preseason about all of these players, so it's not surprising to see them here, for various reasons.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 Syracuse Orange Blogger (S.O.B.) Awards are here. Honoring the players, coaches, fans and moments from the 2015-2016 Syracuse Orange basketball season, we here at TNIAAM are splitting the process between ourselves and you, the dear readers.

This category might be the toughest yet. Dajuan Coleman returned from injury, and some were skeptical if he could stay healthy. He'd start every game. Frank Howard was thought to be a lower rotation player at best, and ended up logging key minutes off the bench throughout the season. Tyler Lydon was thought to be a solid contributor, and for a decent amount of time, seemed destined to be an NBA lottery pick this June. We all know that the "surprise" around Kaleb Joseph wasn't necessarily positive, unfortunately.

Below you'll find a poll to cast your vote in. Cast it. Then, in the comments, provide some commentary on your selection. Can be a sentence. Can be a couple sentences. Can be a paragraph or two.

We'll close voting in 24 hours and tally up the results. The TNIAAM crew will make their own selection and then we'll combine the results to pick our winner. We'll announce the winner in a post next week that includes some of your comments as well as ours.
