Syracuse Orange fans, you have dreamed of days like this Saturday. Here's your itinerary...
Saturday, 11:00 AM - Syracuse Football spring game
Dino Babers wraps up his first spring practice as head coach of the Orange with the annual spring game. The game will be played in the Carrier Dome where doors open at 10:00 a.m. and festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. Admission and parking is free. Everyone who attends will get a free voucher for a hot dog and soda.
More than 50 former players will be in attendance, including Damien Rhodes, Cliff Ensley, Doug Hogue, Gary Bugenhagen, Pat Killorin, Ger Schwedes and Walter Reyes. There will also be selfie stations for photos with players and coaches.
Following the scrimmage, there will be a youth clinic led by former Orange Donte Davis. Any kids in eigth grade or lower can participate (but maybe not two-year-olds).
Follow along with Ari Gilberg on Twitter, who will be at the Dome covering the event.
Saturday, 5:00 PM - Syracuse Lacrosse vs. Notre Dame
You can't hang out in the Dome all day, football players, we've got a high stakes lacrosse game to play. The No. 7 Orange look to snap a two-game losing streak against the No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Dome at 5:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU and also on TK99.
Check out Jim's preview on the Irish here. Also follow Jim Simmons and John Orsenigo on Twitter for in-game updates and analysis.
Saturday, 8:49 PM - Syracuse Men's Basketball vs. North Carolina in Final Four
No big deal, just a Final Four game whose outcome will determine whether or not Syracuse "belongs" here or was just a pretender all along. At least that's the narrative when SU plays the 1-seed North Carolina Tar Heels. The Orange and Heels tip around 8:49 as the second game, so they'll know who they'll potentially play in the finals.
The game will be nationally-televised on TBS while a Syracuse Team Stream featuring Roosevelt Bouie and Donovan McNabb will be on truTV. Get all the game and UNC particulars over here and then find out where Orange fans are watching the game near you.
Not to mention that Syracuse Track & Field, Softball, and Women's Rowing are all in action on Saturday. Check your local listings.
Sunday, 12:00 PM & 7:00 PM - Syracuse Women's Lacrosse vs. Duke & Canisius
Head back to the Carrier Dome for a little more lacrosse action on Sunday when the Duke Blue Devils come to town at noon followed by the back-half of a double-header when the Canisius Golden Griffins visit the Dome as well. No. 4 Syracuse is coming off a 17-7 victory against Connecticut on Tuesday night and looks to keep their momentum going.
The Duke game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports and ESPN3. Because the Canisius game was moved from Tuesday to Sunday it's unclear how you'll be able to watch it. So you might as well go.
Nick Petraccione is your guy for WLAX updates.
Sunday, 8:30 PM - Syracuse Women's Basketball vs. Washington in Final Four
And so it begins. The 4-seed Syracuse women take on the 7-seed Washington Huskies for what it presumably the right to get thrown around like a ragdoll by UConn. But we'll get to that. In the meantime, know that the Orange have a solid chance to win this game and advance to the National Championship and that's all we're gonna worry about right now.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 while WJPZ and Cuse.com will have the radio calls. John put together a handy preview of the Huskies and the game here. Check where Orange fans are watching the game here.
Also in action on Sunday is Syracuse's Women's Rowing, Tennis and Softball. See the full schedule here.
G'ORANGE!
