A day after the media bestowed their All-ACC honors, the coaches did the same on Monday and had very similar results.

Representing the Syracuse Orange, Michael Gbinije was named to the All-ACC Second Team alongside Demetrius Jackson (Notre Dame), Sheldon McClellan (Miami), Brandon Ingram (Duke) and Marcus Georges-Hunt (Georgia Tech). Gbinije received 37 points overall, making him the 9th-highest-rated player (he was 7th-highest in the media vote).

Gbinije was also named to the All-ACC Defensive Team.

Meanwhile, Malachi Richardson got a nod on the All-ACC Freshman Team alongside Duke's Brandon Ingram, FSU's Malik Beasley, FSU's Dwayne Bacon and Wake's Bryant Crawford. The frosh averaged 13.2 PPG in his first season with SU.

Player of the Year was Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon, Freshman of the Year was Duke's Brandon Ingram, and Coach of the Year was Miami's Jim Larrañaga.
