No. 17 Syracuse Orange takes on North Carolina State in the Quarterfinals of the ACC tournament. The game tips-off at 8 pm today at Greensboro Coliseum. It will be broadcasted on RSN. The winner of the Quarterfinal game will take on the winner of Louisville and Georgia Tech tomorrow, Saturday, March 5th.

Syracuse and NC State met earlier on Valentine's Day this season. Syracuse impressively defeated NC State in the final seconds in Raleigh 55-52. Junior Guard Alexis Peterson led the team with 16 points, including eight points in the fourth quarter. Briana Day helped secure the win with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

One of the biggest problems for SU was Jennifer Mathurin. She put up 10 points and 10 rebounds. Another issue was the lack of turnovers forced, only 12. That is 13 less than SU averages per game. NC State's effective ball-security may be a problem for Syracuse's aggressive zone.

This is, needless to say, the biggest game so far of the season for Syracuse. They are in a good position to make it to the Semis in the ACC Tournament, building their NCAA resume on the way. The Orange are securely in the Tournament, with a chance to secure a top four seed. The coveted top four seeds in the NCAA tournament have home-court advantage.
