It's not every year that Syracuse University sends both it's men's and women's basketball teams to the Final Four. In fact, it's the first-ever year. So it's kinda a big deal. As such, the university has announced that there will be a public pep rally for both Syracuse Orange squads on Wednesday. Check out the details below.

Syracuse University is hosting a public pep rally for the SU men’s and women’s basketball teams on Wednesday, March 30, at Manley Arena. Doors open to the public at noon. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. and concludes by 1 p.m.

General public seating is in the bleachers. VIP, SU students and media will be on the floor. Reserved media space will be to the right of the stage. An audio mult box will be available in the reserved floor space. There will be no platform at this position; high shots can be done on the platform above the bleachers. Note: there will be no mult box at the high-shot location.

The men’s and women’s teams will be on hand along with the SU Spirit Squad and Otto the Orange.

Speaking are Syracuse alumni New York State Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul ’80, Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney ’87, L’90 and Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner ’92; Director of Athletics Mark Coyle; men’s basketball head coach Jim Boeheim; and women’s basketball head coach Quentin Hillsman. Emcee is Voice of the Orange Matt Park.

"Well I wasn't going to go but if Joanie Mahoney is gonna be there, I can't miss this!"

Hopefully they give some of the players a chance to speak as well. It would be awesome for Michael Gbinije and Trevor Cooney to have a chance at pumping up the crowd and soaking up the cheers. Same goes for Alexis Peterson, Brittney Sykes and the women's squad.

Either way, should be a rather orange affair.

Attendees are encouraged to wear orange.

Yeah, no duh.
