Friday was a good night to be Orange. The Syracuse women's basketball team started the night off with a shocking upset of the No. 1-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks, 80-72. The men then capped the night by defeating the Gonzaga Bulldogs, 63-60, in thrilling fashion. The victories sent each team into the Elite Eight of their respective tournaments.
For the men, it will be their third trip to the Elite Eight in the past five seasons. Meanwhile, the women are making history for the second round in a row, as they are making their first ever trip to the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament.
Both teams will be back in action on Sunday with a trip to the Final Four on the line. Once again, the women will tip things off first against the Tennessee Volunteers. Their game will start at 3:30 PM ET and will air on ESPN.
The men will meet up with a familiar foe and fellow ACC member, the Virginia Cavaliers. They will tip at 6:09 PM ET, and their game will be televised on TBS.
It's going to be another full day of Syracuse Orange basketball, so if you've got plans for Easter Sunday, make sure they involve a TV.
