We took last week off for Spring Break, but we are back to kick off the Spring season in earnest with this week's Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Syracuse Orange Athlete of the Week voting. Here are this week's nominees:

Brittney Sykes-W. Basketball

Brittney led the Orange into the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history, scoring 24 points as Syracuse beat Albany 76-59 on Sunday. Sykes also added 4 rebounds and 5 steals, helping the Orange to force 24 Albany turnovers. Syracuse advances to play South Carolina on Friday.

Corinne added 2 Home Runs last week, which gives her 42 for her career. She is now only 4 behind Jasmine Watson for the All-Time Syracuse Record. Syracuse went 4-4 last week, and they have a 12-14 record on the season. This week, the Orange are scheduled to open their home schedule against Niagara (Wednesday) and Notre Dame (Friday and Saturday).

Riley Donahue- W. Lacrosse

Riley netted a hat-trick in Syracuse's 13-8 loss to Boston College. She's 3rd on the team in scoring with 30 points on the year (19 goals and 11 assists). Syracuse will look to get back in the win column on Saturday against Notre Dame.

Dina Hegab-Tennis

Dina split her singles matches as Syracuse dropped decisions on the road to both Georgia Tech and Clemson last week. She is now 9-3 on the year in singles competition, and 6-4 in doubles. Syracuse returns home to face North Carolina this Thursday.
