The Syracuse Orange basketball team was the first team to play on Friday in the first round and got a midday start on Sunday for the second round. When they take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the 2016 NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen this Friday, they're getting the late slot.

The Virginia Cavaliers will take on the Iowa State Cyclones in the early game and then, around 9:40 p.m. EST or so, the Orange and Zags will duke it out. The winners of each game will then play on Sunday for the right to head to the Final Four. Crazy.
The Orange and Zags met in the 2010 NCAA Tournament second round, with SU cruising to an 87-65 victory. While they've won that way in the first two games of the tourney, chances are this one will be much closer. The two teams also almost met earlier this season in the Battle 4 Atlantis but SU played Texas A&M instead in the tournament finals.
